Plot
In a broken America, one night a year is set aside in which no law will be enforced. This lawless 12-hour period known as the Purge is ostensibly a time for citizens to let out their most violent tendencies, but it's the poor and the marginalized who suffer the most. This one 12-hour window has fundamentally changed life throughout the year in countless ways, and this series follows a wide ensemble of characters from different walks of life as they try to prepare for the Purge and try to last the night in one piece. Some will be forced to make terrible decisions for the sake of survival.
