Plot

In the heart of youth, Kim Hye Ja stumbles upon a magical timepiece, a watch with the extraordinary power to rewind time. A daughter of modest means, Hye Ja initially uses the watch as a source of youthful amusement, until the harsh reality of aging prematurely with each temporal journey dawns on her. Choosing to grow old alongside her peers, she tucks the watch away and steps into adulthood, nurturing a dream to make her mark in the world of broadcasting. However, the world isn't as welcoming as she'd hoped. Hye Ja finds herself grappling with an ironic twist of fate - her face mirrors the years she doesn't own, rendering her too old for her dream career. As her friends carve their paths in the news world, she remains on the sidelines, her dreams crumbling and insecurities blooming. Enter Lee Joon Ha, a rising star reporter, who brings a glimmer of hope into Hye Ja's life. Their friendship blooms, hinting at a deeper connection. Yet as poverty and adversity loom larger, Hye Ja makes a desperate decision - she unearths the time watch. In an instant, she catapults to the age of 70. Both Hye Ja and Joon Ha are thrust into a melancholic existence, their lives a stark contrast to the radiant dreams they once held. "The Light in Your Eyes" paints a poignant tale of a woman who loses all her time before she can truly live it, and a man who surrenders his brightest moments to a life of lethargy. Confronted with the disheartening twists of fate, will they find their path back to a life brimming with joy and fulfillment? This is a journey of rediscovering hope, even in the face of time's relentless march.
