The Killing (2011)

The death of a teenage girl has a rippling effect that touches on people throughout the city of Chicago. A single homicide wouldn't normally be enough to call retiring detective Sarah Linden in, but Rosie Larsen's body was found in a car registered to a local councilman who's in the process of running for mayor. Linden agrees to stick around for a few days longer, but the case quickly sprawls out as do the number of people who find themselves tangled in the chain of events. As the investigation grows more complicated, Detective Linden finds herself increasingly unable to just let go.
