Plot

In a period of escalating military unrest, Japan lies under the formidable authority of the Taira Clan, also known as the Heike. Amidst their cunning power plays and the looming specter of war, a young girl with a peculiar eye, capable of predicting future events, inadvertently transgresses against the clan. The result is a dire consequence; her father's life is claimed as the price for her impudence. Now orphaned and calling herself "Biwa," she crosses paths with the Heike's firstborn son, Taira no Shigemori. He discovers her terrible past and the grim prophecy she carries: the approaching downfall of the Heike clan. Stirred by her tragic predicament and the looming doom of his clan, Shigemori defies the expected path and offers her protection, choosing to shelter her rather than allow her execution. Shigemori, who bears the unique ability to see the spirits of the deceased, is caught between dread and hope as he strives to avert his family's impending ruin. Biwa, on the other hand, is hesitant to reveal her visions of the future and must navigate a new existence marked by joy and grief. Their intertwined fates unfold against the backdrop of a critical juncture in Japanese history, setting the stage for a tale of survival, power, and destiny.
