Beneath a shared blanket of twinkling stars, two young brothers, Mutta and Hibito, witness a celestial spectacle that may or may not be a UFO. That night, their hearts are ignited with a new passion: the unexplored cosmos. They pledge to each other to one day conquer the infinite expanse of space. Fast forward into adulthood, Hibito, the younger of the pair, is on the cusp of fulfilling their childhood dream, training to become an astronaut. Meanwhile, Mutta, the elder, finds himself ejected from his job, stranded in a vacuum of purposelessness. However, the steadfast support of his family relights the dormant spark within him. Driven by the dream he once shared with his brother, Mutta takes a leap of faith and applies to the Japanese space agency, reigniting his journey towards the stars.
