Plot

In the quiet heart of a Welsh hamlet, a toddler mysteriously vanishes in 1994, leaving an indelible scar on the community. Fast forward to 23 years later, in the bustling city of London, the life of Matilda Gray, a promising cello virtuoso, is shattered when her mother inexplicably takes her own life. As Matilda sifts through her mother's belongings, she unearths a puzzling connection between her mother and the long-forgotten Welsh tragedy. Haunted by grief and driven by a newfound purpose, Matilda journeys to Wales on a quest for truth, risking her very identity to peel back the layers of her life. As she delves into the sleepy village's past, she digs up secrets that have been buried for decades. Among them lurks a secret so disturbing and otherworldly that it defies comprehension: Dark forces, having bided their time for Matilda's arrival, are now stirring in the shadows. 'Requiem' is a chilling tapestry of supernatural suspense intertwined with psychological horror, drawing inspiration from iconic horror films of the late '60s and '70s such as 'Rosemary's Baby', 'Don't Look Now', and 'The Innocents'. It revels in the realm of the uncertain and ambiguous, refusing to hand over easy answers. It is a profound exploration of memory, identity, and loss underscored by a haunting premise: the death of a parent is more than a loss; it is an erasure of the chapters they had written in the narrative of your life. But what if those chapters were based on lies? What if the parent you trusted was the architect of a fabricated past? 'Requiem' poses these unsettling questions, taking you on a haunting journey of self-discovery and dark revelations.
