Plot

As the final bell rings at a Bolton high school, a group of working-class friends find themselves on the precipice of a summer stretched out before them, shimmering with boundless opportunities. Their mundane lives are set to be crisply interrupted by the enigmatic Red Rose app that one audacious member of the group stumbles upon, igniting a spark of change. Initially, the app appears to be an innocuous game of admiration, but it soon spirals into a shadowy labyrinth from which there seems no escape. The scorching summer heat intensifies as the Red Rose app, now a blazing presence on their smartphones, entraps the teenagers in a web of escalating threats. The app morphs from a simple digital distraction into a petrifying puppeteer, manipulating their lives with consequences that darken each passing day. As the app's insidious demands become increasingly perilous, it unveils a supernatural entity lurking in the depths of the dark web, casting a chilling pall over their once carefree summer. In "Red Rose" (2022), the transition from adolescence to adulthood takes a sinister detour, transforming a seemingly idyllic summer into a horrifying ordeal. As the friends grapple with the malevolent force that has infiltrated their lives, they must confront not only the terrifying power of the dark web but the very essence of their friendships. This suspenseful series will keep viewers on the edge of their seats, questioning the extent of the digital world's influence and the dark corners it can lead us into.
