Plot
Small-town Georgia sheriff’s deputy Rick Grimes is shot in the line of duty. After falling into a coma, he awakens to a drastically changed world. Dead people have been reanimated to life, transforming them into zombies ravenous for human flesh. Rick escapes his hospital bed and makes his way home through a devastated community only to find his wife and son missing. He eventually joins a group of camped-out survivors, is reunited with his family and soon finds himself the leader of ordinary people who now must fight tooth-n-nail every day to survive the onslaught of the walking dead.
