Plot

In the heartbeat of a bustling western suburbs teaching hospital, Pulse throbs with high stakes drama. Inspired by a true narrative, the series follows the compelling journey of Frankie Bell, portrayed by Claire van der Boom. Once a high-flying success, Frankie's life takes an abrupt nosedive when she is blindsided by chronic kidney failure. This setback, however, only fuels her resolve to carve out an alternate future. Eight transformative years later, we meet Frankie in her second year as a practicing physician, eagerly stepping into the demanding world of a renal rotation. Gifted with a second chance at life, Frankie is propelled by a burning desire to use her newfound path to save lives. As she navigates the turbulent waters of a faltering health system, she is driven to confront not only the institutional challenges but also her personal battles. Pulse threads an intricate narrative of resilience, redemption, and reinvention. It paints the gripping portrait of a woman who, once a patient, now finds herself on the other side of the examination table. Frankie's toughest challenge, however, isn't confined to the hospital corridors. It's a deeply personal battle she must wage within herself - learning to let go. Through Frankie's journey, Pulse beats with an undeniable truth - survival isn't just about living, but learning to release the past to embrace the future.
