Plot

In the heart of modern San Francisco, the mystical charm of King Arthur's court echoes as Merlin the Magician, a 1,600-year-old sorcerer, now leads an unassuming life as a gruff auto mechanic. This ageless enigma, known as 'Max Merlin,' finds an unlikely apprentice in the formative 15-year-old Zac Rogers, to whom he decides to impart the ancient wisdom of magic and its intrinsic values. However, the world of sorcery proves to be a challenging labyrinth for young Zac, who frequently stumbles, misusing his newfound powers and relying on Max's centuries-old expertise to untangle the knots of his magical mishaps. Meanwhile, Zac's loyal confidant, Leo Samuels, stands by his side, the only mortal privy to the magical undercurrents swirling in Zac and Max's seemingly ordinary lives. In the midst of this enchanting chaos, the captivating Alexandra, an 1,100-year-old sorceress of formidable power, emerges as the bridge between Max, Zac, and the omnipotent, unseen sorcerers they serve. As the voluptuous boss and liaison, she directs Max to mold Zac as his successor, leading to hilarious escapades born from Zac's ineptitude with his powers and the trio's continuous efforts to veil Merlin's true identity. As a blend of ancient lore and contemporary comedy, Mr. Merlin transports viewers into a world where magic seeps into the cracks of everyday life, revealing the extraordinary within the ordinary.
