Love, Election, & Chocolate (2012)

In the heart of Japan, where the school hallways echo with the chatter of clubs and the air is thick with ambition, a sanctuary exists for those less inclined towards overachievement - the Food Research Club. Here, students like Yuki Ojima find respite from the demands of academia, reveling in the simple pleasures of camaraderie and indulgence. However, this oasis of slack-off tranquility is threatened when an audacious candidate for Student Council President declares her intent to dissolve clubs like the FRC. In this unexpected turmoil, Yuki finds an unlikely ally in the present Student Council President, whose solution is as bewildering as it is intriguing: Yuki should contest for the Student Council Presidency himself. A notion so absurd, it's almost brilliant. Fueled by this audacious plan, the FRC begins to swell, bolstered by members of other endangered clubs, including Chisato, the chocolate-loathing FRC president and Yuki’s childhood confidante. As this motley crew of underdogs rallies together, we're left to wonder: Can this unlikely band of goofballs coast their way to political victory on a wave of unity and chocolate, or will it demand a hero who must step up, take the reins, and champion their cause? Only time, and perhaps a box of chocolates, will tell.
