Plot

In the chilling aftermath of a high-security prison, David Collins emerges, his conviction for his wife Tara's murder quashed due to a shocking legal oversight. This error, described by his attorney as a horrifying failure of justice, clears the path for him to piece together the shards of his former life and heal broken bonds with family and friends. All the while, he yearns for the chance to grieve his wife's untimely demise truly. As DI Cathy Hudson takes the reins of a fresh investigation, a murky world riddled with abuse, illicit affairs, and financial woes comes into sharp focus. The secrets unearthed threaten to shatter already fragile relationships, from envy-ridden siblings to bitter ex-lovers. Yet, amidst the chaos and the wreckage, one critical question lingers: Could David Collins be genuinely innocent?
