Final Approach (2004)

In the wake of their parents' untimely demise, siblings Ryo and Akane have crafted a semblance of normalcy within the confines of their shared solitude. Their ordinary, yet content lives are soon set on a tumultuous path by an unexpected government experiment. Japan, grappling with plummeting birth rates, introduces a radical initiative forcing young individuals into arranged marriages. Ryo becomes an unwilling participant in this societal experiment, his objections drowned out by the arrival of his government-decreed fiancée, Shizuka, and her entourage of determined bodyguards, mandated to ensure the reluctant couple's success. Unlike Ryo, Shizuka embraces this unconventional arrangement with vigor, eagerly performing her marital roles despite his resistance. As Ryo navigates this unexpected turn of events, he grapples with intrusive friends, assertive bodyguards, and an overzealous fiancée. Life, as Ryo knew it, is irrevocably changed, steering him into a future he never envisaged.
