Plot

In the quiet solitude of rural Japan, far from Tokyo's ceaseless energy, a young introverted girl named Tsubasa embarks on a journey of self-discovery and alien encounters. After the tragic loss of her mother, Tsubasa's life is upended, thrusting her into an unfamiliar world of new faces and friendships. However, the subtle charm of the countryside soon gives way to cosmic chaos when an alien spaceship crashes in her backyard. Tsubasa, aided by a sentient armour known as a ribers, transforms into a bioandroid, Figure 17, and triumphs over the menacing alien creature responsible for the crash. Expressing gratitude in its alien tongue, the pilot D.D. reveals a chilling fact - more such creatures have escaped his transport ship, now hidden throughout Japan. But the cosmic conundrum deepens when the ribers, instead of returning to its original form, mirrors Tsubasa's appearance, creating a synthetic twin. This startling replication bewilders both Tsubasa and D.D., birthing a mystery that threads through the heart of their shared existence. Simultaneously navigating the trials of school life and extraterrestrial threats, Tsubasa and her alien doppelgänger explore the complexities of identity, friendship, and the vast universe beyond. As they face the unknown together, a deeply moving narrative unfolds, weaving together the terrestrial and the cosmic in a tale that transcends the boundaries of reality. Figure 17: Tsubasa & Hikaru is a poignant exploration of human connection in a world touched by the extraordinary.
