Plot

In the heart of Kyoto, Rekihiko Tokiya is renowned as a brilliant detective, known for his relentless pursuit of justice. However, his life takes an unexpected turn during a high-stakes chase when he plunges into a forsaken factory's water storage pool, plunging his mind into a deep abyss of oblivion. He awakens in a sterile hospital room, a 20-year gap in his memory leaving him baffled and disoriented. Now a 51-year-old man, Rekihiko grapples with the loss of his life from 31 onwards, the years he spent honing his skills as a detective, lost in the fog of amnesia. He is confronted with the reality of his divorce, yet he has no recollection of the woman who was once his wife. His once commanding personality has undergone an unnerving transformation, leaving him timid and uncertain, a stark contrast to his former confident self. Yet, amidst this sea of changes, his unwavering sense of justice remains untarnished, a beacon in his newfound darkness. Rekihiko dares to resume his role as a detective, navigating the labyrinth of crime with a unique perspective. His approach to cases is no longer as it was in the past, reflecting the profound change within him. Detective Zero, as he is now known, embarks on a journey to solve not only the mysteries of Kyoto but also the enigma of his lost life.
