Damages (2007)

This is a legal thriller about a high-stakes litigator and her relationship with a recruit straight out of law school who was charged with the murder of her fiancé. The series follows one case each season giving both sides of the issue being tried. It also examines the relationship between the two and how the new recruit overlooks or avoids addressing the unethical behavior of her boss. Finally, she believes she is being damaged personally and professionally by the connection. Will she be able to distance herself from the shady law firm or will she be forever branded as unethical?
