Plot

As the icy tendrils of the Cold War begin to thaw, a grim secret lurks, buried in the snow-laden past. Two decades have passed since a bone-chilling terrorist assault in 1983 disrupted Poland's path to liberation, plunging it into the shadowy embrace of a repressive police state, and forestalling the Soviet Union's downfall. Now, in 2003, a determined law student, burning with idealism, and a fallen police investigator, tainted with disgrace, unearth a conspiracy that has fortified the Iron Curtain and smothered Poland's hope for freedom. Amidst an era of peace and prosperity, the puppet masters of the regime secretly set in motion a plan, conceived in the tumultuous 1980s with an improbable foe. This plan promises to radically reshape Poland, shaking the very foundations of its society and sending ripples through the lives of its citizens - and beyond its borders into the world. The revelation poised on the lips of our unlikely duo has the power to fan the flames of revolution. Yet, those perched atop the echelons of power will employ every sinister trick in their arsenal to shroud this explosive secret in darkness.
