Zombie Lake (1981)

In the throes of World War II, a quaint French village is occupied by the German army, forever changing the fate of its denizens. Amid this tumult, a clandestine romance blossoms between a local woman and a German soldier, culminating in the birth of a daughter, Helena. However, the tranquil village is soon shattered by the French Resistance, who ambush and exterminate the German soldiers, their bodies unceremoniously cast into the depths of a nearby lake. A decade later, the stillness of the lake is disturbed as it spawns an unholy army of undead soldiers, their lives claimed by the very village they once occupied. Now, the villagers live in constant fear as they face the wrath of these Nazi zombies, a spectral reminder of their past actions.
