Plot

In the tumultuous midst of WWII, Ted Stryker, a Canadian Air Force pilot, carries a heavy burden. As a squadron leader in 1945, he believes a critical misjudgment led to the death of six men under his command. The haunting specter of this tragedy lingers, stunting his professional growth and casting a long shadow over his life eleven years later in Winnipeg. When his wife Ellen, unable to bear the weight of his guilt, decides to leave him, taking their young son Joey, Ted finds himself at a crossroads. Despite the ghosts of his past and having not set foot on a plane since the war, he makes a desperate choice to follow them onto a flight to Vancouver. However, an unforeseen disaster strikes. Half of the passengers, including the flight crew and Joey, fall victim to a crippling bout of food poisoning. With closer airports rendered inaccessible by harsh weather conditions, the race is on to land the plane in Vancouver and rush the afflicted to the hospital. But who among the healthy passengers can take the helm? As fate would have it, Ted emerges as their sole hope. Assisted from the ground by Captain Martin Treleaven, a former flying colleague, Ted must navigate the unfamiliar technology of the modern aircraft. More than that, Martin must also act as an impromptu therapist, helping Ted to conquer the haunting reminders of his past tragedy. In this heart-stopping precursor to the 70s disaster movie genre, a routine flight escalates into a life-or-death emergency. Will Ted find the strength to overcome his inner demons, rise to the occasion, and bring the plane safely to the ground? 'Zero Hour!' will keep you on the edge of your seat, as the tension builds and the stakes soar to dizzying heights.
