Stonehearst Asylum (2014)

The dawn of the 20th century is just days away, and recent Oxford graduate Dr. Edward Newgate is eager to finish his training in asylum medicine at Stonehearst Asylum. But he soon discovers that the treatments being touted as revolutionary for psychiatric science have ethical implications that he struggled with. He finds himself falling in love with a patient who seems perfectly sane and is clearly from high society, but there also appears to be something more sinister and potentially supernatural happening deep in Stonehearst's basement. Edward's curiosity and commitment to ethical practices could become a liability, but so could his romantic infatuation.
