Zatoichi's Vengeance (1966)

In the tumultuous underbelly of feudal Japan, blind swordsman Zatoichi stumbles upon a dying man's last request: to deliver a bag of money to an enigmatic 'Taichi'. Unaware of who this individual might be, Zatoichi ventures into a small town, its spirit crushed under the oppressive heel of ruthless gangsters. His path intertwines with that of a young boy, who he soon discovers is the 'Taichi' the dying man referred to. As Zatoichi grapples with the town's tormentors, his swift blade and fearless courage make him a folk hero in the eyes of the awestruck boy. However, Zatoichi's journey is further complicated by an encounter with a blind monk. The monk, like Zatoichi, navigates the world without sight but unlike him, he chooses the path of non-violence.
