Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971)

Intelligent chimpanzees Cornelius and Zira have traveled back in time to 1970s Earth using human Taylor's spaceship from the original film. As the only two apes capable of human speech in the current timeline, Cornelius and Zira find themselves facing the same imprisonment and scientific experiment that Taylor experienced under the apes' care. However, the chimps have a mission: They want to prevent the future destruction of the world. They must somehow outwit their captors without jeopardizing the timeline or they may find themselves in a future where apes no longer rule.
