Beneath the watchful eyes of a shadowy figure known only as 'Daddy', young Anna's childhood unfolds within the restrictive confines of an attic, isolated from the world. She is fed a chilling lore of the Wildling, a monstrous entity that feasts on children, haunting the great outdoors. This fear is a shackle, holding her captive in the attic's gloom. As the years etch onto her skin, the turning of her sixteenth year brings an unexpected liberation. Ellen Cooper, the small-town sheriff with a heart as vast as the sky, sets Anna free from her prison. She guides her onto the path of a fresh beginning, offering her a chance to experience the life of an ordinary teenager under her compassionate wing. But as Anna steps into the world, her body begins to mature, echoing a call from her past. The horrifying nightmares that once played out in her mind's eye resurface, bringing with them an eerie familiarity. These dark dreams puncture the veil of normality, pulling her into a whirlpool of fear and uncertainty.
