White Dog (1982)

In the city of angels, Los Angeles, Julie Sawyer, a young, unemployed actress, encounters an unexpected twist of fate. During a late-night drive through the hills, her vehicle strikes a white German Shepherd. Moved by the creature's plight, Julie rescues the injured canine, taking him to a vet before offering him temporary shelter in her hillside home. Unaware of the animal's disturbing past, she embarks on a mission to find its owner, distributing flyers and enlisting the help of her boyfriend. When a vile intruder threatens Julie's safety, the white dog proves to be an unexpected hero, saving her from imminent danger. Despite the daunting task and the inherent danger, he agrees to undertake the near-impossible task of deprogramming the white dog. As Julie's hope meets Keys' determination, they both fight against the clock and societal prejudice to save not only a dog's life but also its soul. Their journey is a testament to the power of compassion, challenging the boundaries of race, fear, and love in the heart of Hollywood.
