In the heart of New York City, embattled Detective Mark Dixon stands as a man deeply scarred by his past, his father's criminal legacy igniting a fervent hatred for underworld figures and a raging drive for justice. His aggressive, unorthodox methods have landed him in hot water with his superior, Inspector Nicholas Foley. Despite Dixon's remarkable efficiency, the Inspector issues a stern warning: curb his fiery temper or surrender his badge. Meanwhile, the city's criminal underbelly pulses with illicit activity. Gangster Tommy Scalise operates an illegal casino, luring wealthy individuals like Ted Morrison into high-stakes games. Kenneth "Ken" Paine and his ex-wife Morgan Taylor, a woman of stunning beauty and unsuspecting innocence, act as the bait. Realizing she's being used as a decoy in a dangerous game, Morgan decides to leave, triggering Paine's volatile temper.
