Plot

In a world where monotony reigns supreme, Carol Ann MacKay, a beloved nurse at a retirement home, lives a seemingly ordinary life. Her days are filled with caring for her elderly charges and her evenings are spent in the company of her athletic husband, Wayne. A local hero from his high school football days, Wayne is still devoted to his high school sweetheart, always ready to clean up after her adventurous antics. Their routine life is disrupted when Henry Manning, a legendary bank robber renowned for his audacious heists, arrives at the retirement home. Paralyzed from a stroke he suffered in prison, Henry appears to be a broken man, a shadow of his former fiery self. Yet Carol, ever observant, senses an enigma beneath the frail facade. She suspects that Henry's condition isn't as severe as he lets on, and dares to unveil the truth, even pushing his wheelchair into a canal during a casual picnic. Henry's secret unraveled, he finds himself at the mercy of the MacKays. The couple harbors his secret, and with his first impulse to escape thwarted, Henry gradually trusts Carol. An unusual camaraderie forms, and soon Carol, Wayne, and Henry are crafting a daring plot to rob an armored money transport. The promise of a thrilling adventure and a ticket out of her mundane life is too tempting for Carol to resist. As they step into the world of high-stakes crime, their plan spirals into a whirlwind of unexpected turns. They manage to seize the loot, but just as they're about to split their spoils, a series of shocking revelations threatens to overturn their triumphant heist. In this thrilling roller-coaster of a movie, nothing is as it seems, and everyone has a secret to hide.
