Plot

In the gripping narrative of "Ticking Clock" (2011), Lewis Hicks (Cuba Gooding Jr.) is no ordinary journalist. His pen's ink is absorbed by the dark underbelly of society, as he intricately weaves tales of the most heinous murders. However, the hunter soon becomes the hunted when his new lover meets a sadistic end, and he's catapulted from being the storyteller to the leading suspect in a horrifying murder story. Engulfed in a chilling narrative of his own, Lewis decides to channel his investigative prowess to unravel the mystery. His quest takes an eerie turn when he stumbles upon the murderer's journal, an ominous tome filled with macabre records of past victims and a meticulously curated death list of future prey. As he delves deeper into the labyrinth of the killer's mind, he believes he's the sole beacon of hope who can halt the trajectory of this relentless murderer. But the labyrinth spirals further as every clue he uncovers leads to an unexpected dead-end: a nine-year-old orphan confined within the austere walls of a group home. As the clock keeps ticking, Lewis finds himself embroiled in a chilling race against time, to thwart a butcher's plans, and to save an innocent life from becoming the next tally mark in the killer's grim journal. "Ticking Clock" is a relentless pursuit of truth, an exploration of the darkest corners of the human psyche, and a testament to one man's determination to unveil a brutal reality.
