In the bustling heart of Istanbul, Umay, a woman of German birth and Turkish descent, finds herself bound in an oppressive marriage. With her young son, Cem, as her anchor, she makes a daring escape, seeking refuge in the familiar yet distant streets of Berlin, her hopes pinned on a new life amidst her family. However, her sudden appearance stirs a tempest in their tranquil lives, their love for Umay waging a silent war against the shackles of their traditional values.
Caught in the labyrinth of their conventions, her family makes the heart-wrenching decision to return Cem to his father back in Turkey. With the essence of her world teetering on the brink, Umay finds herself on the move again. Amidst the chaos, she discovers a reservoir of inner strength, constructing a fresh existence for her and Cem.
