Weekend at Bernie's II (1993)

As the sun sets on their escapade at Bernie's weekend retreat, our naive protagonists, Larry, the bumbling accountant, and Richard, his prudish programmer counterpart, find themselves thrust back into the concrete jungle of New York. No sooner do they return than they find themselves wrongfully accused by their former employer, the insurance company, of Bernie's audacious theft of two million dollars, leading to their swift termination. In an attempt to salvage their tarnished reputations and perhaps secure a little compensation, Larry and Richard launch a daring investigation. Their search leads them to the sun-drenched shores of St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, where they suspect Bernie's ill-gotten fortune lies hidden. Unbeknownst to them, the nefarious Cartel, for whom Bernie had been pilfering, have also got wind of the hidden loot. In a desperate move, they engage the mystical powers of a Voodoo Queen, tasking her with awakening Bernie from his eternal slumber to lead them to the treasure. However, due to a comical mishap by the Queen's bungling henchmen, Henry and Charles, Bernie is cursed to only move when music plays. With the assistance of the enigmatic Claudia, Larry, Richard, and the semi-animated Bernie embark on a tropical treasure hunt, pursued not only by the relentless company security officer, Hummel, who's convinced that they're the real thieves, but also the inept Henry and Charles. The race is on, and the Virgin Islands are set to witness a ridiculous, rhythm-fueled chase to find the missing millions. Who will hit the jackpot first in this hilarious blend of comedy, adventure, and a dash of the supernatural? Only the weekend will tell...
