Singin' in the Rain (1952)

Set amongst the rise of "talkies," films with sound, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont have become big stars during Hollywood's silent film era. Beautiful and unique, talking pictures threaten to upend this pair's rise to stardom, due to Lina's shrill, grating voice. Kathy Selden, a woman with a gorgeous voice, but no star power, arrives to be Lina's 'voice' in the studio. Will Don and Lina be able to use Kathy to salvage their illustrious careers? Only some time and some wit will tell.
