In the heart of Philadelphia, Jesse Dean, a recently discharged soldier carrying the scars of a troubled past, finds solace in his newfound faith. Guided by the teachings of his wife, Jesse becomes a beacon of change, dedicating his life to an old church struggling to keep the faith alive amidst a dwindling congregation.
