Plot

In the glitz and glamour of Hollywood 1961, a chilling crime interrupts the usual buzz. The diligent secretary of the fan club for renowned movie star Leroy Dane is found brutally murdered. Amid the chaos, a curious piece of evidence surfaces - a collection of old news clippings about a missing heiress, her last sighting reported at a malt shop near school when she was just sixteen. Enter Tom Alder, a seasoned investigator specializing in tracking down missing heirs. Intrigued and determined, Tom embarks on a quest to decipher the connection between the slain secretary and the vanished heiress. His journey takes him to a restaurant where he unexpectedly encounters Linda, his ex-fiancée, and her friend, Nikki, after many years. This chance meeting weaves them into the intricate web of mystery surrounding Leroy Dane. With a network of allies - a colonel in Washington D.C with access to military records and a New York detective with a team tirelessly researching and chasing leads - Tom begins to unravel a convoluted tale. The investigation grows increasingly personal as it not only engulfs Linda, Nikki, and Leroy Dane, but also dredges up shadows from Tom's own past. "Twenty Plus Two" is a riveting whodunit from the Allied Artists studio, starring David Janssen, Dina Merrill, and Jeanne Crain. Set against a backdrop of Hollywood's golden era, the film expertly intertwines the glamour of the silver screen with the gritty reality of a murder mystery, leaving audiences on the edge of their seats as they try to piece together the puzzle. The secrets of the past collide with present peril in this compelling tale of intrigue, romance, and suspense.
