Plot

In the heart of the ruthless television industry thrives David Samarás, the mastermind behind the successful talk show, "Today We Fix the World". The show, a battle arena for ordinary people to untangle their intricate webs of disputes, mirrors David's own disheveled personal life. Perpetually single, David's only semblance of a family tie is his 9-year-old son, Benito, born from a fleeting liaison. This bond, more a product of legal obligation than genuine affection, leaves David feeling as if Benito is an extraneous piece in his life's puzzle. An earth-shattering revelation threatens to shatter this tenuous bond when Silvina, Benito's mother, unveils in the heat of a fiery argument that David is not Benito's biological father. This bombshell is soon followed by Silvina's untimely death, leaving David grappling with guilt and regret. His already fragile relationship with Benito teeters on the brink of collapse, pushing David to confess the painful truth to the young boy: he is not his father. Yet, from the ruins of their relationship, a glimmer of hope emerges. Benito, struggling with his own heartache, makes a poignant request: he wants David to help him find his biological father. David, swamped by a wave of unexpected empathy, agrees. This quest propels them into a journey that promises to be far more transformative and revealing than any dispute aired on David's show. "Today We Fix the World" thus becomes more than a mere talk show title - it evolves into David and Benito's rallying cry as they navigate their personal predicament, aiming to piece together their fragmented world.
