Thunder Bay (1953)

In the wake of 1946, Steve Martin, an ex-Navy engineer with an audacious vision, and his loyal comrade, Johnny Gambi, descend upon the quaint town of Port Felicity, their pockets void but hearts ablaze with ambition. Dusted by dreams of constructing a safe platform for offshore oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, they secure financial backing from the enterprising dreamer, Kermit MacDonald. However, their luck comes with a ticking clock, a relentless race against time to strike oil. In this rustic fishing community, they find an unlikely ally in Dominique Rigaud, the skipper of a struggling shrimp-boat, and his two captivating daughters.
