Plot

In the vast expanse of cosmos, an astronaut meticulously repairs a spacecraft, only to fall victim to a seemingly insignificant meteor puncturing his arm. Unbeknownst to him, this heralds the genesis of an alien invasion, as the tiny meteor acts as a womb for otherworldly "seeds". Back on Earth, in the bustling heart of Houston, he is confined to a hospital bed, his body slowly becoming the incubator for a sinister alien species. As the dark shroud of night descends, an eerie metamorphosis takes place. Alien moths, birthed from the astronaut, seek out individuals with B-negative blood type, transmuting them into monstrous creatures armed with deadly claws. This is not a blind hunt, but a systematic invasion, a planned scheme of occupying hosts to fulfill an evolutionary mandate. When the number of transfigured humans hits the ominous 'Threshold', the alien life-forms will morph into an invincible swarm, posing a catastrophic threat to humanity. The clock is ticking, and the fate of Houston, if not the entire world, hangs in the balance. The city teeters on the edge of annihilation, as plans to bomb it to oblivion are considered to halt the alien outbreak. Amidst this chaos, two unlikely heroes emerge: Dr. Jerome 'Geronimo' Horne and Dr. Savannah Bailey. Armed with their intellect and a dwindling 48-hour deadline, they are humanity's last hope of thwarting the alien menace. Their mission: To unravel the alien species' weaknesses and destroy them, before the ticking time bomb of the Threshold countdown detonates. In this thrilling tale of survival, Threshold (2003) explores the classic conflict of man versus alien in a nerve-wracking race against time, where the price of failure is nothing less than the extinction of the human race.
