Plot

As Japan's economy is on the verge of collapsing and the quality of life dwindles for citizens, especially teenagers, a legislative order is enacted. The Battle Royale Act includes the random selection of a ninth grade class. The class is sent to an unoccupied, isolated island for a pre-determined amount of time. The teenagers are told there can only be one survivor at the end of the challenge. If the teens refuse to participate in the actions required, they are warned no one will leave the island, ever.
