In the gripping docudrama, "Three Came Home", the tale of American author Agnes Newton Keith unfolds. Already residing in Sandakan, the capital of British North Borneo, with her British official husband, Harry Keith, and their young son Georgie, her peaceful existence is shattered with the imminent invasion of the Japanese, punctuated by the shocking attack on Pearl Harbor in 1942. A glimmer of hope arrives in the form of Colonel Michio Suga, the head of the Borneo camps, who appreciates Agnes' sympathetic portrayal of East and Southeast Asians in her published work on life in Borneo. However, this favoritism proves to be a double-edged sword. As she navigates the harsh realities of her imprisonment and struggles to care for her young son, her greatest torment lies in the uncertainty of her husband Harry's fate, a question that haunts her - is he dead or alive? This true story is a moving testament to resilience, courage and the indomitable human spirit in the face of adversity.
