Billy Halleck is the portrait of a man seemingly living the American Dream: a doting father, a loving husband, and a successful lawyer, nestled in the comforts of an affluent lifestyle. Yet, his indulgences have left him fifty pounds overweight and teetering at the brink of a heart attack. His life takes an eerie turn when, in an act of thoughtless negligence, he strikes down an old gypsy woman with his car.
