In the heart of the Romanian countryside, Clementine, a French teacher dedicated to imparting her language to local children, wraps up another day at work. On her journey home, an abandoned vehicle by the roadside catches her eye, its previous occupants - a mother and her teenage daughter - victims of an unknown fate. Oblivious to their chilling story, Clementine returns to the seclusion of her home in Snagov, where she lives with her husband, Lucas, a writer seeking inspiration in their remote sanctuary.
