Plot
A police officer is sent to an Amish community to protect a young boy who has witnessed a murder. John Book must learn to respect the Amish ways as he attempts to keep Samuel and his mother safe. John also has to deal with feelings that he has started to develop for Samuel's mother, feelings which may hamper the policeman's ability to do his job.
