Plot

In the arid heart of the New Mexico desert, a chilling mystery unfolds as Police Sgt. Ben Peterson and his partner stumble upon a bewildered child roaming aimlessly. Their investigation swiftly takes a horrifying turn as they uncover a threat to humanity on an unprecedented scale - monstrous mutant ants, their size and ferocity a terrifying byproduct of the atomic testing of 1945. Enter the stalwart FBI agent Robert Graham, who joins forces with Peterson, ready to face the colossal insects. Their fight is bolstered by the intellectual prowess of Dr. Harold Medford and his equally brilliant daughter, Dr. Patricia 'Pat' Medford. Together, they brave the desert to annihilate the primary colony of these gargantuan ants. However, as the sands of victory start to shift, a new horror unfolds. Two queen ants have escaped the desert massacre, fleeing to the labyrinthine underbelly of Los Angeles. The queens are on a sinister mission to establish a massive new colony, threatening to overshadow humanity with their monstrous brood. The team's race against time intensifies when a desperate mother reports her two children missing. With the army backing their every move and the southern cities of America on the brink of ant-induced chaos, the team follows this clue, their every step echoing with the urgency to rescue the children and exterminate the burgeoning colony. Will they be able to halt the spread of this monstrous menace? Or will the cities succumb to the relentless march of these nuclear-born nightmares? "Them!" is a thrilling exploration of the Cold War-era fears, ingeniously personified through the spectacle of mutant ants laying siege to civilization.
