Plot

In the quiet corridors of a seemingly ordinary school, a brilliant student and captivating beauty named Kanako mysteriously vanishes, leaving behind a room untouched and a life unaccounted for. Her estranged father, Akikazu, a former detective with a tarnished reputation and a deep-seated inner turmoil, finds himself pulled into the vortex of her disappearance. Urged on by his ex-wife's pleas, he embarks on a relentless quest to unearth the truth about their daughter, striving to mend the shattered fragments of the dream family he once envisioned. As Akikazu delves deeper into Kanako's life, he uncovers a haunting mosaic of her past and present. Interactions with her so-called friends offer him glimpses of a daughter he never truly knew or made an effort to understand. Struggling with his own problematic personality that once razed their family to the ground, he becomes entangled in a chilling labyrinth of drugs, sex, and violence that Kanako was seemingly immersed in. The farther Akikazu ventures into this terrifying underworld, the more disoriented he becomes, realizing the abyss that his daughter was grappling with far surpasses his worst nightmares. With each shocking twist and horrifying turn, he finds himself woefully unprepared for the grim revelations that threaten to shatter all he holds dear. In the heart of this disquieting odyssey lies a pivotal question: Can Akikazu locate his missing daughter and reclaim the illusion of the perfect family he's yearned for after all these years? The World of Kanako is a chilling exploration of a father's desperate search and the unsettling realities that lie beneath the surface of a seemingly placid existence.
