The Seven-Ups (1973)

In the underbelly of New York City, amidst the grime and the crime, a covert investigative unit known as the Seven-Ups tirelessly operates. Composed of Buddy, Barilli, Mingo, and Ansel, these tenacious detectives from the NYPD focus their attention on high-stakes cases, promising felony convicts at least seven years behind bars. Buddy, the team leader, sources critical information from his childhood friend, Vito Lucia. A resident of the old, crime-ridden neighborhood, Vito risks his life to play informant, teetering on the razor's edge of danger with the mob. The NYPD's higher-ups may disapprove of Seven-Ups' unorthodox methods, but they cannot argue with their results.
