In the haunting remnants of the Romanovs' grand palace, a teenage girl finds herself the target of the relentless Secret Police. Her only companions are four enchanted instruments, the last vestiges of her forgotten family. Anastasia, as she's known, stumbles upon a once esteemed General of the Tzar's army, Vladimir Ichonovitch, covertly stowed away in a suitcase in a freight train's baggage car.
Ichonovitch, consumed by misconceptions, is convinced that Anastasia is on a quest to claim her place as the Romanovs' rightful heiress and seize their fortune. Anastasia, oblivious to her possible royal lineage and the riches it entails, finds herself entwined in Ichonovitch’s plot. Guided by his teachings of her family's intriguing past and adorned in regal attire, Anastasia is swept into a whirlwind of imperial intrigue, her identity shrouded in mystery – a mystery that only she can unravel.
