The Report (2019)

Inspired by a true story, Daniel J. Jones is a Senate staffer who's assigned a huge task: investigating the CIA's use of detention and interrogation practices in the wake of the attacks of September 11, 2001. But Daniel will find his confident sense of idealism eroded away by what he discovers. His journey reveals not just negligence but a potential conspiracy to violate human rights laws and then hide their actions from the American public. If Daniel believes in taking his task seriously, that means digging deep and holding some of the country's most powerful people accountable for their actions.
