The Postcard Killings (2020)

In this taut 2020 crime drama, NYPD Detective Jacob Kanon is blindsided by the murder of his daughter, who was murdered, along with her husband, while on their honeymoon. Propelled by grief, Kanon is determined to find those responsible and seek justice for his family. This quest brings Kanon into contact with Dessie Lombard, a Swedish art critic who has been receiving cryptic postcards. The two join forces and quickly discover that couples all over Europe are being slain in deliberate acts of violence. This dark thriller is shown from the joint perspective of both the killer and the pursuers. The keys to the crimes are housed in the postcards, which forces the bereaved cop and determined journalist into a precarious game of cat-and-mouse.
