Plot

On the cusp of his 13th birthday, a young, street-savvy boy known as Fool embarks on a risky break-in operation. They target the colossal suburban mansion of their notoriously avaricious landlords. This house, a unique blend of the Adams Family's eerie charm and the impenetrable fortress-like security of Fort Knox, holds more than just material wealth. Assisted by his sister's boyfriend, Fool penetrates the mansion's exterior, only to find himself trapped within its labyrinthine interior. As the malevolent owners make an unexpected return, Fool is ensnared in the mansion's suffocating grip, becoming an unwilling witness to the house's dark secrets. The mansion's walls echo with chilling whispers of the "children" being reared in the frighteningly grim shadows of the mansion's underbelly. Fool stumbles upon a horrifying spectacle: the "people under the stairs." These caged souls, hidden from the world, are victims of the landlords' deranged obsession. Caught in an inescapable nightmare, Fool must navigate a world where sanity hangs by a thread and the line between prisoners and captors blurs. 'The People Under the Stairs' weaves a tale of suspense and terror, revealing the monstrous secrets dwelling in the heart of suburbia.
