Plot

Celebrated children's author, Claire Holloway, finds herself ensnared in the eerie threads of her own terrifying nightmares. Under the strain of psychological turmoil, she stumbles upon the Rose Marsh Farm in Westmoreland County while flipping through television channels - a place eerily intertwined with her sleep-haunting visions. Compelled by a chilling familiarity, Claire decides to escape her stressful city life for a sabbatical at the farm, nestled ominously close to a gloomy marsh. Once there, she finds herself not alone but stalked by spectral apparitions of a young girl and a teenage boy, their ghostly presence echoing through the farmhouse. Claire's journey takes an intriguing turn when she crosses paths with Noah Pitney, a local publisher and history enthusiast, who offers a friendly hand in her time of escalating dread. However, as she gets engulfed by a sequence of unnerving visions, Claire feels the compelling need to delve deeper into the paranormal. She engages the expertise of the enigmatic consultant, Geoffrey Hunt, to unravel the spectral puzzle. Together, they dive headfirst into the murky history of the farm, unearthing a heart-wrenching tragedy that occurred two decades prior. Claire's holiday retreat morphs into a nerve-wracking race against time as she becomes entangled in a supernatural mystery. She must unravel the tapestry of the past and solve the mystery to save her own life, making her the unexpected protagonist of her own chilling real-life story. This is the suspenseful journey of a woman who went seeking solitude but found herself facing the ghosts of a forgotten tragedy.
