Plot

When Lieutenant Colonel Hyde, a distinguished Army veteran, is forced into early retirement after twenty-five years of service, he assembles an intricate plan to retaliate. With the precision of a military operation, Hyde recruits seven other former officers, each involuntarily retired for their own unique indiscretions, yet all possessing a specialized skill that Hyde requires for a daring endeavour: a meticulously planned bank heist. Each of the men is not only grappling with his past but also financially strapped, making Hyde's offer hard to resist. As they band together, the group conducts a series of successful raids, acquiring the necessary weapons and vehicles. Their military training under Hyde's disciplined leadership makes them a force to be reckoned with, and they orchestrate their heist with the same precision as a battlefield operation. Yet, the transition from military to civilian life proves challenging. The irritations of the civilian world threaten to compromise their unity and disrupt their plans. Despite these obstacles, the bank robbery unfolds according to plan, its execution as flawless as a military drill. However, a single, seemingly insignificant oversight looms ominously, threatening to unravel their meticulously woven scheme. The League of Gentlemen is an electrifying tale of discipline, desperation, and the struggle for identity. It explores the thin line between military order and civilian chaos, showcasing how even the most disciplined soldiers can falter when faced with the unpredictability of civilian life.
