Plot

In the vast expanse of the cosmos, Astronomer Bill Whitley's attention is firmly fixed on a newly discovered comet, an obsession that frequently eclipses his enchanting wife, Vicky. As Bill gazes at celestial bodies, Vicky, feeling increasingly neglected, is drawn into the mystical world of astrology, guided by their eccentric neighbor. She becomes an avid follower of the enigmatic Margaret Sybill, a faux-astrologer whose weekly horoscope promises the entrance of a dream man into Vicky's life. When the charismatic and exotic foreign correspondent, Lloyd Hunter, who also serves as the neighborhood's air raid warden, enters the scene, Vicky is convinced that her star-written prophecy is unfolding. As the handsome stranger weaves his charm, a desperate Bill realizes that he must shift his gaze from the distant stars to the captivating heavenly body in his life, his wife. He races against the cosmos, in a bid to prevent Vicky's horoscope from transforming into a self-fulfilling prophecy. Will he succeed, or will the stars have their say in this celestial love story?
